This course is a must for those working in operational roles undertaking work in confined spaces. Confined spaces can be found in vats, tanks, pits, pipes, chimneys, silos, sewers, shafts, wells, pressure vessels, trenches and tunnels.
Cover the skills and knowledge required to enter and work safely in confined spaces including safety requirements, signage, equipment use, maintaining communication, exiting, clean up, record keeping and legislation.
This course meets the requirements of Australian Standards AS/NZS 2865-2009 Confined Spaces.
Upon successful completion of assessment task(s) students will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for unit: RIIWHS202D Enter and work in confined spaces.
Industry standards recommend completing a Refresher course every 2 years to maintain currency.
If you have not carried out tasks associated with entry to, or work in confined spaces in the last 2 years, you will need to compete the full course. Refreshers only attend the second day and must have a current Enter & Work in Confined Spaces certificate.
