Course outline
In the BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, you will learn how to:
- Assist with responding to workplace incidents
- Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of WHS consultation and participation processes

Delivery
This course will run one day a week for 20 weeks via classroom-based face-to-face learning. The completion time for the BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety varies according to the educational background and any relevant work experience. Students will be expected to complete additional study at home, and work will be required between classes to complete the assessments.
Assessment
Assessments are made against units of competency from BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management. For this course, assessment will entail the following:
- The assessments will validate underpinning knowledge, skills and attributes required to meet the course outcomes.
- A range of assessment strategies will be selected to meet different learner needs. Assessment methods include written, oral and practical tasks and assessments. You will be informed when assessments are to take place.
Pre-requisites
An appropriate level of language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills that allow you to research, read, interpret and evaluate information and prepare documents at a moderate to advanced level is required to enrol in this course.

Requirements
Experience in a workplace environment, moderate Microsoft Office skills and a Certificate III or above or commensurate skill level will be required to understand the course content and concepts.
