New Partnership to Support Rural Industry Skills!
Tamworth Community College is pleased to announce a new third-party training partnership with Australian Firearms Compliance & Training Group (AFCTGroup), combining the College’s regional training capability with a specialist team working directly across Australia’s rural and land-management industries.
The partnership will provide nationally accredited training designed to meet industry expectations and the practical needs of people working in the bush, including primary production, animal welfare, agriculture, land management, conservation and pest animal management.
AFCTGroup brings experienced industry practitioners together with an extensive network of subject matter experts, ensuring training is practical, relevant and informed by current industry practice.
Initial training will include AMPSS00084 – Game Harvester Skill Set, AMPGAM303 – Use Firearms to Safely and Humanely Harvest Wild Game, and AHCPMG304 – Use Firearms to Humanely Destroy Animals, together with a limited number of AHCPMG311 – Use Firearms for Pest Control Activities from Aircraft courses for appropriately experienced practitioners.
Training will initially be delivered across southern Queensland, NSW and Victoria, with face-to-face courses at regional and rural locations and online options for the AMPSS00084 Game Harvester Skill Set.
Plans are also underway to expand the training portfolio once the initial programs are established, with future areas including pest animal management, environmental impacts, animal welfare and firearm safety within the shooting industry.
