Before you Boot Up: An Industry Blueprint for Labouring & Construction

The construction and civil sectors are growing industries experiencing ongoing skills shortages, and general labouring is a great entry point into a number of key roles.

Our fully-funded* labouring and construction course bundle is designed specifically for new entrants, introducing students to the wide range of industries involved in ‘labouring and construction’, giving an honest look at the trades, opportunities and the absolute essentials for getting hired.

We don't just talk about the tools, we prepare you for what life on a live site is actually like, why your role is critical to safety, and exactly how to set the blueprint for your career.

4 Day Commitment

Over four days, you’ll cover Before you Boot Up (non-accredited), White Card, Heights and Confined Spaces.

Upon successful completion of training, students will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance for Before you Boot Up and, upon successful completion of assessment task(s), students will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, RIIWHS204E Work safely at heights, and RIIWHS202E Enter and work in confined spaces.

*Please note that students will need to confirm their eligibility with our friendly student support team at enrolment and complete all four days to be eligible for funding.

Pre-requisites

Students must be 14+ years of age.

Requirements

Students must present 100 points of ID upon course commencement. Combination of ID must include photo ID, current address, signature and date of birth.

As this course has an outdoor component, students must wear PPE, including enclosed boots and long-sleeved shirts and pants. A hat, sunglasses, water bottle, and wet-weather clothes are also recommended.
