Tamworth Community College student winners at New England NSW Training Awards

Tamworth Community College students have received a number of awards at last week’s New England Regional Training Awards.
 

David Sadleir, who completed Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, was awarded the Sue Haylock Memorial - Excellence in VET Award.
The recipient of this award is selected across all categories (trained by Tim Pearson).

Aaron Rogers, who completed Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, was awarded “Highly Commended” – Vocational Student of the Year category (trained by Tim Pearson).

Leah Carter, who completed Certificate IV in Business Administration, was awarded “Achievement in the Business Administration Industry”
– Vocational Student of the Year category (trained by Ferne Wilson)

In addition, Tamworth Community College has been selected as one of three NSW finalists in the Small Training Provider of the Year category of the NSW State Training Awards, which will be held in October. The winner of this category will progress to the shortlisting process for the Australian Training Awards in November 2020.

Commenting on the awards, Tamworth CEO Michelle Simpson said, “We are so proud of our students and their trainers, Tim Pearson and Ferne Wilson. Special thanks also to Cheryl Wilson, who invested a large amount of time into the nominations and preparing students for their interviews."
